Dear Praying Friends,
God answered LOTS of your prayers this week! : )
Misti is well again after her sinus infection.  God gave me
a GREAT (probably the FIRST one) opportunity to witness
to the ladies at English Cafe.  They just started asking me questions
about eternity and who goes where, etc.!!!  Please pray for God to
continue to work in their hearts.  One of the ladies there has a mother
who is a Christian.
Then on Friday the rest of my English girls said John 3:16 and so received
their New Testaments!!!!  It was soooo cute and special on Saturday a.m.---
three of the girls came over to play and so pushed my doorbell button and
stood outside and recited John 3:16 in unison!!!!  : ) : ) : )  THANKS FOR PRAYING!!!!!
This week I have English at the Mellow Green tearoom.  Please pray for God to give
opportunities of witnes ...

March 7th-12th

We are doing the sign language name for "Jakarta".

This is our team, Pastor Masago, his wife Fumie and starting with the left, Isamu, Mana, Yurika, Tomomi and Kiyomi. I praise the Lord for the way He has provided $4500 of the needed $6500. The deaf churches through out Japan and several churches in America has rallied up support and we are very thankful for that!

By the time you get thi ...

Dear Praying Friends,
God gave me a GREAT opportunity to meet with Mariko this week and
give her a New Testament.  She's read the Bible before but doesn't have
one now, and she seemed genuinely glad to receive it! : )  Please pray
for God to work in her heart for salvation.
One of my co-workers, Misti Diffenderfer, has a bad sinus infection.  Please pray
for her quick recovery.  Please remember her husband Joel as he prepares the
Sunday message for our evening service.
Please pray for God to give opportunities for witness at the English Cafe tomorrow, and
also at the Gingira Coffee Shop on Saturday.  Please pray too that new people from there
will attend our church service.
Pray too that God will work in the ladies' hearts at the Beauty Salon English w/ Bible study
on Monday and at the Obiyama Ladies Bible Study next week,
Thr ...

Dear Praying Friends,
Thanks so much for praying for my back!  It's MUCH better!
God blessed at the beauty salon Bible time this week.  Mrs.
Nagano, a neighbor who attends, was genuinely impressed
after we read together from the New Testament the story of
Jesus raising Jairus' daughter from the dead!
Please continue praying for the Obiyama church people to find
a house for their new pastor and for God to provide the about
$7,000 they need to get the pastor moved and set up here in
Kumamoto.
Continue to pray for the ladies in the Obiyama Bible Study to
grow in Christ (me too!)  We had a better turnout this week.
I will be meeting with Mariko, a new English contact on Friday.
Please pray that God will give me wisdom in how to be a witness
to her.  This is the second time we've met apart from a group.
Pleas ...

Dear Prayer Partners,
I went to a Japanese "chiropractor" (little different than US, but it works!) today
and they massaged my back.  It feels better now, but is still sore.  I think it will
take time to heal.  Thanks so much for your prayers!
Yours for Japanese Souls, Sue

Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you for being there! : )
The Obiyama church people met on Sunday and decided various things
about housing for the new pastor.  Please pray that they will find an
adequate house near the church.  Please continue to pray that God will
prepare the hearts of all for this new transition.
We had one new visitor on Sunday for our service.  Please pray for new
people to come with open hearts.
We only had 2 people at the Ladies Bible Study this week.  Two were
out with colds.  Please continue to pray for these ladies (all of us) to grow
in Christ.
I will have English at the Gingira Coffee Shop on Saturday and also at
the English cafe on Thursday.  Please pray that God will give new contacts
through these opportunities.
I'm having some kind of problem with my back now and can't move very
well.& ...

Jakarta Here We Come!

Greetings!!

Is sooo cold here in my office, that when I came in it was 37 degrees fahrenheit. Thankfully, I have a heater in my office. So, how are you?
Are you staying warm these days?

I have some news for you, something that will definately keep me warm for a while. That is March 8th-13th, We, Pastor Masago, his wife, and five h.s./college students will be going on a missions trip to Jakarta (where it is 95 degrees). My goal is to instill in the students a desire to see God work in and through them to make an impact for Jesus Christ. So, I thought why not send them on a mission trip? This is will be the fir ...

Hi, everyone!

Trust you all are staying warm! Snow is forecast for our area for tomorrow. Of course the kids are excited that we might get our "once a year snow". Tom and Paula are hoping it doesn't arrive!
