From Sue

Dear Prayer Partners,
I would like for you to pray about a trip I’m taking next week to northern Japan (north of here anyway) to see 4 people, probably for the last time. Next year in June I will be retiring from Japan. I’m 67 now and thankful that God has given me good enough health to help the Smiths thus far. My plan is to return to the States, see all my supporters and then fully retire. Anyway, since I’m leaving Japan, I’m trying to take care of “last things” and part of that is encouragements and goodbyes…. Please pray for God to give me the words to encourage these 4 friends and also safety as I travel. Will be taking the bullet train up and an airplane flight back. Will be gone for 4 days.
Please pray that God will use me at the school this Thursday, with Ayane as we meet on Saturday (she’s been reading her Bible recently! :) and that God would work in my English class Bible time on Monday.
As always please pray for the McVicker family to get the support they need to come serve in Japan. We NEED workers badly!
Thanks so much for your prayers!
Yours for Japanese Souls, Sue

P.S.

Dear Prayer Partners,
I didn’t mention in my prayer requests about the little boy Koshiro. (His last name is Iwashita, we learned later.) I don’t have a lot of new news. He’s in an induced coma now. The woman who hit him has 2 students in Marty’s kindergarten. Her name is Mrs. Meda and as you can imagine, she’s VERY LOW right now. Little Koshiro was just looking at some bug in the road and she didn’t see him…. Please please pray for all of these needs and that God will be glorified in their solution.
Thanks so much.
Yours for Japanese Souls, Sue
