Carr’s May 17 Prayer Update

Hi, everyone!

It’s a beautiful day here in Izumi–spring may have arrived, but one can never be sure! We trust you’re enjoying a beautiful day/night where ever you are right now.

We made a quick trip to the U.S. to be a part in Andrew’s college graduation last week! The weather turned cool and we spent a lot of time shivering, but our hearts were warmed with the graduation ceremonies and seeing over 700 graduates being sent out into the world to hopefully share Christ’s love and light with the many who are in need of Him. We are so grateful that God provided so that we could be part of this milestone in Andrew’s life! Please PRAY for him as he adjusts to working in a new job, settling into a new area and finding a new body of believers with whom to worship and serve!

Hard work and God’s provision meant graduating without any debt!

We have mentioned frequently in the past the monthly Children’s events held here in Izumi. May is no exception and this coming Saturday, the 20th, will be a pizza party, where the gospel will once again be presented. Please PRAY for children with open hearts to come and for energy and wisdom for all of us who will be working with them.

The kids enjoyed playing games at last month’s event.

Our Voice of Hope Gospel Choir will be having a final concert at the church before we leave Japan. We’re busy practicing and preparing. Please PRAY as we meet each week for God to work in the hearts of each member to help them understand the words of the songs we sing, and come to know Christ as their Savior. Please PRAY, too, concerning whether the choir will continue during the time we are gone. There are two concerns: a pianist to take Paula’s place has not been found and whether it is wise for Bill to take on the directorship in addition to his many other responsibilities.

The choir practices most every Sunday evening. Most all of the members need to come to Christ.

We have purchased our plane tickets, and will be arriving in Cedarville, Lord willing, July 11. Please PRAY as we pack and move out of our rental house, make decisions about what to store, what to take to the U.S. and what to get rid of. This can be very exhausting! Please PRAY that we’ll also be able to spend time with those with whom we should before we leave, and for the various ministries in which we’ll be involved here. PRAY also for Bill, Becky, Paul, Julie, and the Uchizonos, as they continued to faithfully serve here in Izumi. Also PRAY as we schedule meetings with our church and individual supporters. If you have a specific date you’d like to have us come to your church, please let us know! Please NOTE that anything mailed snail mail after the middle or end of June should be sent to: 325 College Hill Dr., Cedarville, OH 45314. Thank you!

W are very grateful for your faithful prayers, financial support and notes/letters of encouragement for the work here in Izumi!
